Overview of the REYNOSO MD Medically Supervised hCG Weight Loss Program

  • hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a natural protein hormone produced by the body. When administered to overweight men and women, low doses of hCG combined with a 500 calorie diet reduce abnormal fat.
  • A sample of the 500 calorie diet would consist of: Breakfast – unlimited coffee, Lunch – chicken, asparagus, an apple and melba toast and for Dinner – shrimp, green salad, strawberries and grissini breadstick
  • Normally a 500 calorie a day diet would be unhealthy but when combined with the hCG it is very safe and effective. The hCG breaks up and mobilizes the stored fat out of your body and burns that fat for energy. Maintaining the 500 calorie diet forces your body to burn the stored fat instead for energy. The fat burning process combined with the water intake creates the energy levels you need during the process.
  • Basically what the program entails is daily hCG injections combined with a 500 calorie diet, weekly office visits that include reviewing your tracking sheets, weigh-in and B-12 injection, followed by a maintenance program.
  • After completing the hCG diet you will find that your appetite and eating behavior has changed because your metabolism has been readjusted. You will be able to maintain a life style of healthy eating habits without feeling the need to overeat.
  • There are two programs that are available. Patients needing to lose 15 pounds or less would require Program I which is a 26 day program with 23 daily hCG injections. There are no injections given the last 3 days of the program only the 500 calorie diet is to be followed. The body needs to adjust during these 3 days to not having the hCG in its system otherwise weight will be put on immediately. Patients needing to lose more than 15 pounds would require Program II which is a 49 day program with 40 hCG injections. One injection per week is skipped to avoid body resistance to hCG.
  • It is possible to lose 15-20 pounds on the 26 day program but weight loss will vary on each person depending on your sex, metabolism, medications and the amount of weight needed to be lost. Men generally lose more weight than women. Men often average between 0.65-1 pound per day and women 0.5-0.75 pounds per day weight loss. Following the hCG Diet Program protocol (diet, hCG, approved cosmetics, etc.) will determine your weight loss results.
